Miller Country Woodcraft – A Family Run Business

We are a husband and wife team who own this small, family run business, and live with our 4 children, our dog, Milo, and Vee, the cat, in the heart of the National Forest, Derbyshire.  Our lovely Barn Converted Workshop, is just 1 mile from our home.  Our Workshop has stunning views and wonderful peace and quiet except for the sound of the lambs and cows in the field- making the perfect environment to create our unique pieces.

We pride our self in the personal service that we provide to each and every one of our customers and frequently enjoy receiving comments and pictures of our pieces in their new homes.

We are incredibly fortunate that the majority of our customers come from both word of mouth and customers returning for additional pieces for their homes.

While Miller Country Woodcraft is a relatively new venture, Craig has over 20 years experience in Woodcraft.  Friends and family have, over the years, asked him to recreate the unique pieces that he has designed and created, using reclaimed pine and oak, that surround our home, so eventually, Miller Country Woodcraft was formed!  We couldn’t be more delighted with the response it has received and such wonderful and encouraging feedback from our customers.

Once Craig has designed and created each piece, they are painted , by hand, using either Farrow & Ball or Annie Sloan, ensuring that great time and care is put into each and every item, ensuring that they are ready for their new homes.  Hayley and Craig also restore Pre-Loved items transforming them into beautiful, unique pieces for your home.

It is Hayley that will usually answers your initial enquiry and will be there every step of the way, from placing your order, to it taking it’s position in it’s new home.  All of the day to day running of the office it undertaken by Hayley who also co-ordinates the deliveries, which can be a challenging task given that orders are received from all over the UK including Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire and the midlands, which she manages incredibly well.

We always welcome anyone wanting to visit us at our workshop, you may bump into the chickens that frequently wander in and out of the workshop and are very likely to see Milo, our Cockerpoo, who is usually found overseeing things.
